School Tips for Picture Day Success
Communicate with your parents. We can email parents and staff directly, or provide flyers for student backpacks. Upon request other tools include text for your school websites, online calendars, newsletters, and assembly announcements. Facebook and Twitter are common communications channels. And, there’s always the good ol’ school marquee sign.
Remind your teachers and staff. The same tools listed above can be used to remind your team to ensure picture day is a breeze.
Prepare students. We all know kids like structure and lots of notice. It’s helpful to rehearse, or story tell, picture day with students.
Frequently asked questions
How does absent day work?
Students who are away on picture day will have their photos taken on ‘’absent day’’ which is usually the week after picture day. We give you two - three great pictures to select from so ‘’retake day’’ isn’t necessary.
When do you take the class photo?
Same day as individual portraits minimizing classroom disruption.
When will I receive the proofs, then the pictures?
We are a GREEN COMPANY and provide online proofing to save resources. Digital Proofs will be available in the online gallery two weeks after picture day.
After the order is placed with HotShot Portraits, the pictures will be shipped to the home within three weeks unless otherwise arranged by the school.
